We pay toward the cost of a funeral in the event of the death of an employee, spouse, child or parent

There is no medical underwriting required, and funeral claims are usually paid within 48 hours.

There is no waiting period on either natural or unnatural causes of death, which ensures family members can focus on making funeral arrangements with the financial support they need.

What sets Fedgroup’s Group Funeral Cover apart?

Our Funeral Cover benefit does not contain suicide exclusion.
Fedgroup’s Funeral Cover also includes an optional Burial Repatriation Benefit.

The Policyholder can choose the appropriate level of Funeral Cover in multiples of R1 000 with:

A minimum Employee Funeral Cover of R 5 000.

A maximum Employee Funeral Cover of R 50 000.

# Where a Life insured is actively in the service of an employer.
* There is a three-month waiting period from policy inception before an employee or spouse can claim for a parent’s death due to natural causes, whereafter a parent is covered for the remainder of their respective lives for as long as the member remains on the policy.
^ Children are covered to age 21 unless studying and are financially dependent on the employee, then the cover is extended to age 24.
