Michael is Managing Director of Group Solutions at Fedgroup which includes group risk, employee benefits, beneficiary care, trusts, and fiduciary services. He champions simplicity in product design to ensure benefits provide real value and prioritises exceptional service in an industry where it is too often neglected.

Michael joined Fedgroup in 2011 as an Analyst Programmer, where he developed the company’s quoting tools and the first version of its asset management system. His passion for efficiency and innovation led him to operations as Group Chief Operations Officer. He was then appointed as Executive Director and General Manager of investments, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of Fedgroup’s investment strategy. With 17 years’ experience, Michael offers a rare blend of technical insight and business leadership to drive growth and innovation.

Michael holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a postgraduate diploma in management and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
