Paul Counihan, a seasoned professional, is the Managing Director of Wealth and Investments at Fedgroup, where he leads asset management, investment and wealth advisory, as well as institutional coverage.

Before joining Fedgroup in 2021, he headed the local wealth advisory division of a prestigious international institution known for its Swiss private banking heritage. During the past 24 years, he has led private banking teams and businesses at an executive level at various prominent financial services providers across South Africa. In addition, Paul’s expertise spans both structured lending solutions and the intricacies of the sales and distribution environment.

Paul graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and holds a Certificate in Commercial Property Finance from the University of Pretoria. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and has completed several executive master programmes across Africa and the UK.
